PAYMENTS & BOOKING INFO

Simple, personal, transparent

Here’s exactly how booking works with us — from your first inquiry to the moment you step onto the boat.

How booking works

1. Send an inquiry

Pick a trip (or tell us you're unsure), share your group size and preferred dates.

2. We confirm

We check availability and reply personally with a tailored plan and a clear quote.

3. Secure your date

A deposit reserves your boats, guide, and provisions for the day.

4. Settle the balance

Pay the remaining balance before or on the day — then it's time to adventure.

Deposits

A deposit confirms your date and reserves your boats and guide. The balance is due before or on the day of your trip. Exact amounts are confirmed when we reply.

Cancellations & weather

If weather makes the river unsafe, we reschedule to the next best window. Guest cancellations are handled fairly — deposits are generally transferable to a new date.

Licensed & insured

GTA-licensed and the first HSSE-certified tourism operator in Guyana. Life jackets for every guest and a paramedic-trained guide on board.

Frequently asked questions

How do I pay? Can I pay online?

We don’t take payment directly on the website. Once we confirm your trip and dates, we’ll arrange a deposit and balance with you directly — typically by bank transfer or another convenient method. This keeps every trip personal and lets us confirm real availability first.

Is a deposit required to confirm my trip?

Yes. A deposit secures your date and lets us reserve boats, guides, and provisions for your group. The balance is settled before or on the day of your trip. We’ll confirm the exact amount when we reply to your inquiry.

What currencies do you accept?

Prices are shown in both Guyanese Dollars (GYD) and US Dollars (USD). We can discuss the most convenient option for you when arranging payment.

What is your cancellation and weather policy?

Guyana’s rivers are weather-dependent. If conditions are unsafe, we’ll reschedule to the next best window or work out a fair arrangement. For guest-initiated cancellations, deposits are generally transferable to a new date — talk to us as early as possible and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

How many people do I need to book?

Most trips have a minimum of four guests (groups of one to three are charged as four). We run multiple boats for larger groups, and we’re happy to arrange fully private charters.

Are children and older guests welcome?

Absolutely. Our trips suit ages 5 to 75. On many trips, one child aged 5 and under, or one guest aged 75 and over, joins free for every group of four paying guests. Just let us know your group when you inquire.

Is it safe? What about life jackets and guides?

Safety is our first priority. We’re licensed by the Guyana Tourism Authority and the first HSSE-certified tourism operator in Guyana. Life jackets are provided for every guest, and your guide, Dillon, is a former paramedic and firefighter.

What should I bring?

Bring a camera, sunscreen, insect repellent, a light jacket for the boat, and swimwear for water trips. Each tour page lists specifics under “What to bring.” We provide life jackets, rain jackets, snacks, and drinks.
